NOT ALONE!!

Wow, where do I even start. You know, I write one of these every year, and it never gets any easier. I suppose I could start by saying that I absolutely adore you. You’re probably the most awesome person ever to have walked on this planet, seriously. There is nothing about you that isn’t absolutely wonderful. Your personality, your face, your voice, your laugh, everything about you is beautiful. You’re funny, you’re cute and you’re extremely talented. There really isn’t a single thing I’d want to change. Talking about change, you haven’t really changed much from the young boy who played bass on “Room on the third floor.” I mean, you’re older, of course, all grown up, 24 years old. Wow, time flies doesn’t it? But you’re still the same lovable, sweet, funny and slightly weird guy we all fell in love with (at least I know I did).

On that note, you have no idea how much you mean to me. When times are dark, you’re just about the only thing that calms me down. I don’t know what it is, but there’s just something about you that can change my mood in a second. I can have the worst day in my life and a picture of you or just hearing your voice can turn everything around. I honestly have no idea what I would do if it wasn’t for you. Well, you and McFly of course, but mostly you. You have taught me so much, helped me become the person I am today, and I know I’m not the only one who feels that way. You really inspire me, you make me feel like I can do anything, deal with anything, if I set my mind to it.

So, happy 24th birthday, Dougie Lee Poynter. I wish you all the best in the years to come, and I hope you never stop smiling. I wish you knew how proud I am of you and everything you have accomplished. And I would just like to say thank you, for being who you are.
